Located on 10573 Hardin Valley Rd in Knoxville, Stefanos Pizza is a vibrant and inviting restaurant that brings a unique twist to classic pizzeria fare. Renowned for its signature pan pizza—a style distinctively thinner than Chicago deep-dish yet loaded with ooey-gooey cheese and generous toppings—Stefanos offers an irresistible experience for pizza lovers seeking something both hearty and fresh.
The menu showcases a diverse selection ranging from crowd-pleasing personal pepperoni pizzas to specialty pies like the Garden Veggie, crisp with roasted squash, zucchini, broccoli, and sundried tomatoes drizzled with fragrant basil and spinach, or the Windy City pie, layered with pepperoni, mushroom, onion, and extra cheese. For meat enthusiasts, the Meat Lovers and 3 Little Pigs specialty pies deliver a perfect medley of pepperoni, salami, Italian sausage, and savory roasted red peppers. Beyond pizza, the variety expands to vibrant dishes such as the Philly Cheese Steak with a satisfying Caesar side salad, and unique offerings like the Cuban Sandwich and Chicken Pesto, making every visit an opportunity for discovery.
One of the standout elements is the Thursday Wing Special paired with house salads adorned with creamy ranch dressing, or the addictively crisp Wisconsin Cheese Curds served with tangy marinara sauce. Fans of fried delights will appreciate the golden, crunchy fried pickles and banana peppers complemented by a zesty sriracha ranch. For those who indulge in lunchtime deals, the Lunch Combo specials provide excellent value, featuring favorites like loaded fries and fresh, crisp Caesar salads.
Stefanos Pizza also brings an inviting atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. Their spacious interior is warmly lit and sprinkled with numerous TVs, making it an ideal spot for casual gatherings, sports viewing, or family nights out. The ambiance balances lively energy with a comfortable, welcoming vibe, as many guests have noted the friendly and attentive service—especially during lunch hours when the staff, like Jesse, add a personable touch with quick and witty interactions.
Customer impressions echo this authenticity and charm vividly. Dillon Fiest appreciated the great atmosphere and the loaded fries appetizer, describing the pizza as pleasantly good despite their preference for thinner crusts. Mark Smith praises Stefanos as a Knoxville icon, particularly loving the pan pizza’s perfect balance of crispy crust and abundant toppings that offer a cheese-forward, flavor-packed bite. Ana Maria Velandia Ayala raves about the freshness of every element, from crust to sauce to toppings, singling out the Caesar salad and garlic knots as highlights. Even regulars like Wesley G recognize the solid quality with fresh salads and well-rounded pizzas, while J.C. values the combination of good food, reasonable prices, and friendly service—a truly refreshing find in today’s dining scene.
Whether you’re craving a cheesy Meat Lovers pizza or yearning for vibrant, veggie-studded slices, Stefanos Pizza promises a gratifying meal that celebrates flavor, quality, and a genuine passion for great food. It’s a must-visit destination for anyone in Knoxville looking to savor comforting, handcrafted pizza in a welcoming environment that feels like a local treasure.
Coming here for the first time I was pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere and the amount of tvs they have. The food was great our app was the loaded fries and they was delicious! Our pizza (to our surprise) was pan pizza. We prefer thin crust or hand tossed but it was good! Overall we had a great dining experience and the price of the food was well within reason. When we visit the area again we will definitely be back.
First time in a while that we’ve been to Stefanos Pizza. We ordered a supreme pizza and I will say that it was good pizza but by far not one of my favorites. There just wasn’t anything special to make me want to go back again and again. We also had a house salad with ranch dressing and that was pretty good. Fresh, cold mixed greens, plenty of croutons and tomatoes. The dressing was really good and thick. Our service was just ok considering they were not very busy but we didn’t need anything other than our drinks to be refilled.
Top marks. Friday lunch and Jesse was on top of it! Good sense of humor, quick service and attentive. Food was pretty good, the house salad came with olives and the fig vinaigrette was tasty. The sriracha ranch was more creamy than spicy. The lunch special is a good value in an inflationary economy. At a time where many restaurants are attempting to charge more for an inferior experience it's refreshing to get value and quality alongside great service. Stay the course, Stephanos, and I will see you again soon!
A great Knoxville icon. Never had pizza like this before: it's a pan pizza, but the crust is only about half as thick as what you'd get in Chicago. Which is AWESOME! You're getting way more cheese and toppings and not just crust. Everything about the pies is great. Wish we'd lived here to visit the original location on Cumberland. It's definitely on the don't miss it list.
Wow, this place is SO good! The pizza was amazing super fresh, you can tell everything is made from scratch. The crust, the sauce, the toppings all perfect, shoutout to the Caesar salad absolutely delicious and the garlic knots . Honestly some of the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. The vibe is great too, really welcoming and family friendly, just a fun spot to hang out and enjoy good food. Definitely one of those places you’ll want to come back to!
We decided to stop in this pace after driving by. It is not the most convenient place to turn in to and it appears that a U-turn is necessary to leave. We waited at the entrance for a couple of minutes to be seated. We were offered our choice of tables but many empty tables had not been bussed so even though they were only partially occupied there was not a huge selection of tables. The service was not great but was ok. The pizza was delicious and was some of the most filling pizza I have ever had. They also had a great draft selection.
Used to go to the one on Cumberland Ave for many years until they closed. I was happy to find that there was still one location left. I was also happy to see that they kept the Windy City Special. Unfortunately, I no longer live in the area, but I do visit from time to time. I will make it a point to eat here next time I am around. Great place!
